He didn't get much time out as we were a bit late, and the doors to the viewing gallery were closed so he just hung about in the car park and did some cue work. He didn't want to play :( so we did some controlled work which was good and then some meet and greet.
Jo's little pup Tuesday must be about 9 weeks old now - and she had been scared by some dogs barking in a van. She obviously wanted to chat to Pip so we let them meet and he was soooo perfect with her. Her just laid down and let her come up and sniff him, and nudge him, and didnt try to be bouncy at all. then he had a gentle sniff of her. SO proud of him.:)
Then he did some more meet and greet including Charlie who isn't that keen on other entire boys, but Pip handled him fine and all was pleasant. Then he also met Kai who did growl a little but Pip again read him fantastically and behaved appropriately and they were fine.
After Bonnie it is SUCH a pleasure to have a dog that gets other dogs and how to interact with them - all my hard work paid off I think with his socialisation. He's at least as good if not better than Poppy at reading and calming dogs.
Bonnie started slowly last night - she was doing the jumping but with little enthusiasm and lots of sniffing - so I ran her fast over medium and she picked it up and flew at the end - weave entries were fab!
She then lit up when we did the contacts end - again some super work and I was pushing the handling a bit - staying further off and expecting her to take jumps to get to the contacts. there was a tunnel, jump, tyre combo which I ran like a snake with a front cross and she didnt hesitate to take the jump which was at a hard angle. Also did a course where almost every turn was a front cross... she flew that.
