Are much better now. True his recall isnt instant and perfect when we get towards the end of a walk, but I would never lose him as he hates me being out of site. He doesnt herd me, he doesnt nip behind me, he tends to sniff a bit, then come and walk with me asking for his toy.
The hand touch for the toy being thrown alternating with down for ball being thrown are working well as I can always get him to come in close and then he's easily catchable.
He's also much more focussed on me and not other people/dogs etc.
He is growing up!
