tug x 4 - 20 sec - break cue behaviour - tug. did left, right and back and 1 wait with toy in front of me. did good eager play and ignored it well in wait after trying to take it half hearted;y once.
nose touch. x1 6 times 3ach side - 6 treats. then 2 x 2's and 4 x 3's good level of touch but good be "fab" - not as driven as for toy. 1 treat each time
nose touch on lid in hand - excellent. 1 treat each time
stand waits - x 2 - 20 treats. 10 on floor, bounced on head etc, 10 fed. 30 secs so ever 3 secs approx. excellent focus and didnt move. stayed close but did go all round him. - break off to tug.
box - on all 4 and turn left and right. 15 treats. did it twice
wobble cushion - x 2. still not great with all 4 on standing, but will do front on, back on, and sit with all 4 on very easily. didnt count but good reward rate.
finished with some circle - only 5 m diameter but did with toy. did in walk first, then slow jog - not nipping. did twice each way.
finished with play.
afternoon - took Pip for an hour off lead - woods to Farleigh Church then down through the fields on the estate, and bacto the school. Good boy mostly, but recall is still "interesting" when we get back to the car and he needs to go on lead. I have to con him by getting the ball out and calling him in for a nose touch. It does bother me that in an emergency I cant just recall him like I used to!
Evening - did some more retrieve work, - good puppy at bringing toy back in the house now, stil 50/50 out though! then some nose touch - but he was quite tired so did a bit of tug and called it a day.
Bonnie is back on walks now - so took her and Poppy up Skillets hill. she loved it, but didnt go running. I'm wondering if she is just reaching than labrador age when they chill out. Poppy was about 5 when she calmed down and Bonnie is now 5 and half. She is sound and moving well though :) Walks all this week building back to normal, then next week a couple of low jumps beofre chiro on Thurs, and if still ok - back to training with low jumps for a week and see how we get on...
