Thur 18th Feb

Decided that as Pip was a good boy last night I'm not so obsessed with hand feeding everything and getting huge amounts of training in the morning - he has to be a puppy too and have fun!

So did a bit of tug which started rather weakly, and got better. I must check his teeth later as I think its more than just not wanting to - he IS playing just not holding hard - last time he was like this he was teething...

Then did a bit of crate work and touch for food, and also a bit of heel work as we haven't done any really since obedience last friday and we have to go tonight :)

Then later on took him outside and tug really improved when he saw the ball on a rope...( It needs a smaller bite to hold that rope so poss he just finds the thicker tugs harder?) anyway - fab fab fab tug.

Also did some walking and running along his plank - he keeps on it now :) and some 2 on 2 off on the end of the plank - again focussed and good.

More play... and more play, then sent him round the wings a couple of times - he was really jazzed up on his toy at this point and flew round. So we played and then did a couple of start line waits by a jump, which he did well - 3rd time released him and called it a day with some tug indoors.

Oh yes - all the above outdoors stuff was whilst Tony turned the horses out in the field and the other dogs were running about and none of that distracted him at all so I was over the moon with him today.

He's sleeping in his crate now.

Lunchtime I'll take him for a walk out on his line, then he can sleep whilst the girls go for a nice long relaxed walk, and tonight Pip goes to obedience

Obedience - fantastic! Very focussed puppy - got the hand focus now and no luring - just reward for the touch. Heel work was quite awesome tonight, recall was amazing, sendaway fast and accurate, stay effortless (in fact he sprawled in the down). No barking or distraction or even interest in the other dog - and some super fantastic play :) Lovely puppy tonight :):)
