Agility circuits at club on jumps, and weave tunnel combo.
He was just superb. Barely any barking at other dogs running, Lots of focus on them but little barking or d=trying to chase. (we won't mention the barking at the girls rummaging under seats in the gallery.... )
1st was a front cross box exercise. Other than anticipating one wait by raising his bum, he was paw perfect, turning tight and driving into me. I messed up the footwork on the left side, but got it right on 3rd attempt. Pip did the whole exercise off lead too, I think it helped that it was just Pip and Meg so he didnt have long to wait!
2nd exercise was serps. foot perfect both directions for a couple of goes. Then a short walk to the van for a first aid kit when Mark cut himself (didnt realise there was one in the store!) then back for a couple more serps. I did mess the timing up right to left once but mostly we got it right and the group scored us 10/10 :) Worked well with Meg running too.
3rd exercise was 12 weaves to tunnel and back. 1st time the tunnel was a big draw and he came out at pole 10. 2nd time he held it well and finished the wevae so rewarded there, then let him do it again and take the tunnel. Excellent weave entries out of the tunnel. Again not getting distracted by the others :) Finally this station included 2 jumps for front and rear cross training. He breezed them both.
Loved working with him last night - I was on the ball and doing the right things and he found that so much easier so he was flying too.
Nice compliment from Ruth on his forward focus too.
