Wales day 1,2 &3

Saturday we drove down - late after discovering that the man who went off with the Bullet eys a week or so ago and hasnt yet returned them also has the roof box keys! A quik phone call and he dropped thm round phew!

Made it uneventfully (despite Newbury show) to Welshfox's by 2pm. Had a cuddle with her lovely dogs Miles, Dylan and Cally and met the sheep and ponies. Then on the road again and got here for about 6pm.

The house, Rogerston Mount, is perfect :) Remote with a sea view, a large fully fenced garden which is ideal for the dogs, ponies in the field beyond the garden, and quarry tiled floors, or floorboards throughout - so again perfect for wet dogs :)

Dogs had a good run before the drive and a belt round (and swim in Poppy's case!) at Judiths, then a good run in the garden when we got here so we unpacked, ate and chilled bfore an early night.

Sunday dawned dry and not cold, though windy, and we headed off to Newgale to walk the dogs. The tide was up but there was just a bit of sand so they had a good run and met Amber a 2yo golden retriver whom they all loved and who Pip, AND Bonnie, played with for ages. Bonnie and Amber were tired and Amber laying down, by the time we all came off the beach, but Pip was raring for more! Poppy did really well with the walk :)

Headed home for some lunch via the supermarket for provisions. Chilled out and slept for a few hours then headed off to explore the coast to the south. Parked up at Druidston Haven and walked down the path to a nice big sandy beach where all of the dogs had another great time running about. Bonnie had another pleasant encounter with an American Bull Terrier and another terrier type who were totally uninterested in her but wanted to chase balls. Pip went off to see them and joined in the game, but happily came running back as we walked off. We drove up to Solva and had a nice dinner in a pub - I had Beef Lasagne and Tony Steak and Ale home made pie. Booked The Old Pharmacy for Tuesday night annd came home. Dog were nicely tired and slept without issue (well except Pip who wanted to play :) )

Everyone slept well and we got up before Tony and played in the garden for a while. Then we had breakies and headed off to town for a map and some trainers for Tony. Also found some cheap dog toys in a £1 shop :) Went to Sandy Haven to let the dogs run and Poppy and Pip did some nice swimming as the estuary was dead calm. Bonnie did lots of splashing too :)
Went to Dale for lunch at Dale Yacht club - yummy salmon salad for me and ploughmans for Tony.
Then stopped on the cliff path above Druidston Haven to given the dogs a run without getting them wet before heading home for a cuppa and a snooze. Tony is threatening to cook tonight. That should be good. :)
