day 4

day 3 ended with Tony cooking sausage and mash with all local food - yummy.

Tue we decided to go down to Pedine sands which I had really been looking forward to. IT was lovely but a huge disappointment to find most of the beah was losed for no obvious reason. Still we walked up and down the open bit a few times and the dogs got wet and had fun :)
Dinner at the Old Pharmacy in Solva which was as fantastic as we had been led to believe :)

Poppy is coping really well and Pip and Bonnie are having huge fun. Bonnie has been really sociable with the dogs she has met - I think having the whole beach means she doesnt feel trapped and unable to get away from dogs and as they are not so threatening she doesnt have to growl.

Naturally everything cant continue to go well... I noticed yesterday evening that Bonnie was limping walking on tarmac (she had only been on sand and grass until then. Had a look at RH and she has a tumour on her paw right beside the last toe! Given thhat she also has a lump in her lumbar region this concerns me a bit. Not a thing we an do til I get home and see julia - but it will need to come off as it is making it hard for her to walk. CRAP place to heal though :( Yesterday she has also managed to skin the inside of her thigh (on rocks no doubt!) not serious fortunately and the good thing about beach scrathes is that the salt water cleans them well!
