Pip was a total hit as he was such a small pup there last year. He was very over excited when we first got there, by the space and stuff going on as much as anything, for the first time ever he spun on the lead! He soon calmed down though and we took him for walk with the girls, on a harness and long line though as I didnt totally trust him not to be panicked. He actually soon calmed down and stopped jumping on the girls though. By Saturday he was chilled out and having fun. Walked him off lead on the beach and the common and he was very well behaved. Had a good game with a 10mo ball obsessed collie we met too. Sunday he was a bit tired and grumpy in the evening and did some silly growly stuff when strangers came into the tent so I took him to bed.
Monday I took him out at about 6:30am when noone was about and he was such a good boy - playing and doing a bit of training on the common before going to chase his ball on the beach.
Took him out mid morning with Bonnie and he was very good until we got near the dog show. Then we came across the hugest overweight Basset hound - which was baying, followed by a howling husky and he just lost the plot at them and started telling them to behave like dogs. SO called it a day and went back to the van.
SO over all he was a star, but I must make sure he gets a lot of down time in the van to sleep when we are away. His eating was a bit hit and miss too - he ate about half of every meal which was an improvement on previous trips - but still not enough really.
Was a bit dubious about taking him to training last night after him being quite reactive at the weekend but he was actually a star. even did a fab wait when Toast came over to have a sniff of him. VERY proud of my boy.
