Bonnie is feeling sorry for herself.

Took her to see Ravi on Tuesday – upper respiratory tract infection, swollen glands, sore throat, very slight temperature. She was very good – even when he took her temp and listened to her lungs. Gave her metacam injectable, and Ronaxin (AB’s) for 5 days. Keep her quiet and isolated for a week, bring back if cough persists.

Kept her away from Pip and Poppy for a couple of days, but had no choice but to have them all in the car yesterday so put them in separate cages, and left her and Poppy at my mum’s whilst Pip came to the funeral with us. She sleeps with us at night and mostly just sleeps on the sofa in the day – not interested in going for a walk. So minimising the contact between dogs, but not keeping her seperate any more. No sign from Pip or Poppy so far.

Not going to Kingsfold this weekend though as not fair on her and its going to rain anyway.

Have told Karen and Ruth that she wont be at training for a couple of weeks as I want her to be fighting fit and dont want to risk her spreading anything. She hasnt had a rest anyway as she has been competing all summer so it will do her good. Rounds next week anyway. New groups the following week but I'm still at 8:30 with Ruth.

Booked Pip onto a young sports dogs course at Devon Dogs - 17th Oct - there is one in Nov too so been wait listed for that too. Would have preferred Nov really but c'est La Vie. I know he wont be able to do a huge amount but still excellent for him to be there and doing stuff with the other dogs and equipment, and gives me something to look forward to.

Swimming this afternoon with Pip and Poppy, they wont be mixing with any other dogs as I have the pool for them and the pool itself is full of chlorine, so going to take them anyway.

Manky weather today :( and I feel shite!
