Wet day

so we did crate training as that was an issue at training this week.

After an initial reluctance to play the game (he had to go into the crate via a circuit of the coffee table) he realised I actually had liver and he was hungry and from then on the work was fun!

We did a mix of rewarding for staying in when door was open, and sitting when I touched the crate, and ended up with so recalls from the crate, and going back in racing me. He was keen and eager in both directions too.

Day 2 of "springing isnt good" and he definately get the idea. He still cant control his initial enthusiam and springs, but the time it takes to realise it aint working and a sit will is far shorter every time.

Couple of really good recalls today too - one from a game with Bonnie, and one from the field where he was playing ball with Tony. The 2nd one wasnt perfect but he did leave the game, ball and Tony and run to me and nose touch. He did no more than that though and returned to Tony and the game. But still he did come.

Lunchtime circle with his tug toy were fab - just doing 1/2 to 3/4 circuits then rewarding and not taken it out of the garden yet - but the focus and drive for the toy is growing daily.

Not sure what ha changed really other than that I'm not trying so hard!
